Security and Privacy
This Privacy Notice is intended to protect the security and confidentiality of the personal data of Users who use our services. “Personal data” means information that can identify a specific person, such as first name, last name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address. Given the importance that these issues have for UniTravel, the methods of managing the site are described below with regard to the processing of personal data of the Users who use it. This notice is provided to those who interact with the services provided by UniTravel and not also to other websites that may be consulted by the User via links to external sites.

The “data controller” is UniTravel S.r.l, with registered office in Venice, Italy, Via Brunacci 9/b, VAT No. 03458490277, registered with the Companies Register of Venice No. REA VE-310017, holder of the provincial authorization to operate as a Travel and Tourism Agency, Province of Venice No. 59224 of 11/09/2003, IATA code 382-69221, and subsequent Scia REP_PROV_VE/VE-SUPRO/0382124 of 19/05/2025.
Place of Data Processing
Processing related to the services provided by UniTravel takes place at the offices of UniTravel S.r.l, where it is carried out only by staff authorized by the Office responsible for processing. When a booking is made for a service provided by third parties, the data collected in relation to the specific service booked is transmitted to the actual provider that will deliver it (for example, the booked hotel) and will therefore also be processed at the locations designated by that provider, in accordance with the terms and conditions of its own privacy policies.
Nature of Data Provision
The data that UniTravel requests from the User is provided on a voluntary basis and, depending on the circumstances, may be mandatory or optional in nature. For example, to make a booking, the provision of data such as the name of the person making the booking, e-mail address and credit card details as a guarantee of the booking is mandatory in nature, in the sense that failure to provide such data makes it impossible to make the booking, while, still in the same context, fields such as the address of the person making the booking or their telephone number may be optional, in the sense that failure to provide them does not prevent the booking from being made. Simple visitors may be asked for mere identification data, unless they request a specific service for which further personal data is required. Users of the website will be asked for common personal data and contact details if they wish to receive information about the services offered by UniTravel S.r.l, as well as any other data according to the specifications indicated in the dedicated “Cookies” page. All data is collected for the purposes indicated below.

D) To allow customers to receive or send messages to or from third parties;
E) To satisfy customers’ personal preferences, such as service or advice requests;

Legal Basis for Processing
The data collected for the purposes referred to in points A), B) and C) enable UniTravel S.r.l to provide the requested service. Any refusal to provide such data will result in UniTravel S.r.l being unable to provide the requested service. The personal data referred to in points D), E) and G) are processed by UniTravel S.r.l on the basis of freely given consent. The processing referred to in point F) is carried out pursuant to Article 130, paragraph 4 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003).
Types of Data Processed and Purposes of Processing
Below we illustrate which data are collected, on which occasion, and for what purposes. Furthermore, UniTravel has prepared specific notices displayed on the website pages set up for services such as booking a property, filling in forms, etc.
The main occasions are:
Making a hotel reservation
In this case, the provision of data is instrumental to making the booking itself, so that failure to provide such data may result in the impossibility of obtaining the requested service. During the booking process, personal data are collected for which UniTravel has prepared a specific notice displayed during the process in order to provide the requested service.
Use of credit card information
UniTravel generally collects credit card information such as card number and type, cardholder, and card expiration date, in order to make them available to the booked property so that it is able to apply the penalties foreseen by each accommodation in case of no-show. In certain specific cases, which are clearly highlighted on the site and in relation to specific bookings and/or rate conditions, UniTravel may itself use the credit card data provided by the User to collect directly the amount of the booked service, in its own name and on behalf of third parties. UniTravel uses the secure SSL browsing protocol, which is used in those stages of the booking process that require the sending of personal data (including credit card data).
Communications regarding the booking
UniTravel will send all communications relating to the booking, including changes and cancellations, to the e-mail address that the User has entered in the data collection form. UniTravel may use the telephone number for urgent communications relating to the booking made. The hotel to which the booking refers may do the same.
Feedback on the site and on the stay
UniTravel may offer Users the opportunity to express opinions on the use of the site. There is no obligation to express such opinions. Users who wish to submit feedback and share their experience of their stay may decide to do so by using the data already provided to UniTravel or by replacing them with a nickname or anonymously.
User registration
UniTravel allows those who wish, and subject to the acquisition of specific and express consent, to create an account in order to become a Registered User. In this case, Users will be asked to provide certain information, some of which is mandatory and some optional, such as name, address, telephone number, fax number, internet address, individual login, password and password confirmation. This information is collected in the registration form in order to identify the User, complete hotel bookings and, more generally, other tourist services, to contact the User as part of customer service, and to conduct research to improve the products and services offered on the site. In addition, the User’s e-mail address is requested in order to send a confirmation e-mail of the registration number and of each online booking made. If the User provides a fax number, they may request to receive such information by fax. In order to monitor the effectiveness of our e-mail communications, we may include in such messages a system that confirms that the message has been viewed and that monitors, collecting information, the visitor’s actions. Information about the User’s visits may be analyzed in order to offer goods and services that may be of interest. Registered Users may receive periodic updates on our special offers, new services offered by UniTravel, as well as communications on new products. If the User does not wish to receive such updates by e-mail and fax, they may at any time disable the sending of such communications through an automated procedure. Registered Users will therefore have a number of advantages, the main one being that they will no longer be forced to re-enter the same information for each new booking. If the User then decides to inform us of their preferences regarding travel, etc., they may receive a range of information tailored to their indications and therefore more relevant to their needs.
Newsletters
UniTravel creates its own Newsletter for sending advertising material and commercial communications about products and services relating to the tourism sector. When subscribing to the newsletter, the User is asked to provide data that allow them to be contacted, such as name and e-mail address. Out of respect for the privacy of our Users, UniTravel does not send its newsletter automatically but only to those who have explicitly requested it. It will always be possible at any time to decide not to receive these communications any longer.
Sending e-mails to addresses on the site
The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mail to the addresses indicated on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, which is necessary in order to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data included in the message.
Procedure for withdrawing consent to promotional communications
Users of the UniTravel Network may at any time refuse permission to use their personal information for promotional purposes. Users who no longer wish to receive newsletters and promotions may opt out to suspend their subscription to the service by replying to e-mails and placing “unsubscribe” in the subject line or by clicking on specific links that facilitate the procedure for withdrawing consent.
